"The Diary of a Young Girl" is among the most enduring documents of the 20th century. Anne Frank kept a diary from 1942 to 1944. Initially she wrote it strictly for herself. Then, one day in 1944, a member of the Dutch government in exile announced in a radio broadcast from London that after the war he hoped to collect eyewitness accounts of the suffering of the Dutch people under the German occupation, which could be made available to the public. Das Tagebuch der Anne Frank ist ein beeindruckendes, historisch wertvolles Buch - aber diese Kindle-Ausgabe ist fast schon eine Frechheit. Bei dieser Anzahl an Schreibfehlern, fehlenden Buchstaben, fälschlich eingefügten Wörtern/Buchstabenfolgen kann man davon ausgehen, dass hier nach Umsetzung in die digitale Version kein einziges Mal Korrektur gelesen wurde. Hätte ich mehr als 0,99€ bezahlt, hätte ich definitiv versucht, das Geld zurück zu fordern, denn die Ausgabe ist schlicht und einfach mangelhaft!
3 Stars because the book was not covered by any thing even a nylon. Amazon only put this book alone into a bad structured box with another product (ABUS Bordo Lock 6000) that I bought together. They even can do better if they cover the book only with paper or somehow. I received the book like a mess.Sending feedback to them without receive any kind of supportI really want to give 1 star but others will think that I hate the book. No, I love it, my wife love it, I dont like the way Amazon sends it!
This book is a very honest and truthful account of the war time of Nazi Germany. The touching story of the young girl Anne Frank lets one see it through the eyes of a becoming teenager. The perception of war and hiding are brought to ones attention, while keeping it so honest with entries on the daily lives during that time. I
Even it is considered of an important history document about the life of Jews in the WW2, the diary itself shows more about the inner world of a teenager girl. The sudden end of the diary leaves me an electric shock over my body, cause everything comes so sudden and it's terrible that we don't know what happen after that, or maybe we're lucky not to know what happen after that?

The paper and print quality is quite low.
No need to say anything about the book in terms of its content, but the slipcase edition is really special and makes for a wonderful gift. Mine definitely served its purpose and the person who received it absolutely loved it.
Great book. Narrated and events captured through the eyes of a teenage girl. Would highly recommend this purchase. Must have.
